Introduction: Attorney Zhang Lei was born in Shanghai, China in May of 1975. In addition to his academic career as a lecturer of law, he is also a successful local lawyer with extensive experience in direct foreign investment, corporate, labor, infrastructure, international trade and dispute settlement. Zhang Lei was awarded the Prize of Achievement by the Guangzhou Bar Association in 2008. He has provided legal services for many foreign and large local companies, including international insurance companies, domestic airline companies, national electrical providers, and large national banking conglomerates.

Education: Attorney Zhang Lei received JD degree in Law School, Zhongshan University, and LLM degree in Warwick University of U.K. He is currently a candidate for a PHD of law from Renmin University.

Publications: He had published many academic articles in prestigious journals, such as “the Analysis of Safeguard Measures and Special Safeguard Measures under WTO Framework”, International Economics and Trade Research (ISSN 1002-0594).
